Economic Permanent Residency in The Bahamas

A simple, straightforward path to a minimal tax jurisdiction, citizenship, and one of the world’s strongest passports.

Eligibility

1. Purchase or own a residence with a value of at least 750,000 USD; or,
2. Own or hold a beneficial interest in a 'growth category' business.

Requirements

All applicants must maintain independent financial means without recourse to Bahamian employment, and reside in The Bahamas for at least 90 days every year.

Citizenship

After holding permanent residency for ten years, for six of which all applicants must have been 'de facto' residents, they can apply for naturalisation.

Michael now calls The Bahamas home, bringing his unique skillset of serving globally minded clients and entrepreneurs.

Paul is a former Chairman of The Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB), past Chairman of The Bahamas branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and a member of the International Tax Planning Association (ITPA).

His career spans more than 30 years in financial services, with emphasis on creating products and services in the international tax treaty and estate planning arena. He is a regular panelist and chair at industry conferences and writes regularly for international media such as the STEP Journal, Trust & Trustees, Offshore Investment and IFC Caribbean Review, and  the Financial Times Law and Tax Asian Edition.

In 2005, Paul was voted Executive of The Year as part of the Industry Excellence Awards hosted by the BFSB.
