Deltec International Group (DIG) paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Minister of Economic Affairs, Senator Michael Halkitis on November 11, 2021. The DIG delegation was led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Deltec Bank and Trust Limited – Mrs. Odetta Morton.

Mrs. Morton congratulated Minister Halkitis on his appointment and reiterated DIG’s commitment to working with the government to promote the financial services industry. “It is essential that the private sector works in conjunction with the government to grow the industry and deliver economic success to our people. Deltec has been in The Bahamas for over 70 years and we continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients. We remain steadfast in our goal of empowering our staff, clients, stakeholders and the community at large” said Mrs. Morton.

The Minister was provided with an overview on DIG and its entities. Ongoing opportunities to diversify and innovate the product offerings of the industry and the government’s efforts to enhance the ease of doing business were also discussed.
